The All-New Hyundai Verna: A Technologically Advanced Sedan with Thrilling Performance and Advanced Safety Features

The all-new Hyundai Verna is set to be launched in India on March 21, 2023, and has been creating quite a buzz in the automotive world. This new sedan is equipped with a new, sporty and thrilling 1.5 l Turbo GDi Petrol engine that is available with 6-speed Manual Transmission (6MT) and 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (7DCT). Additionally, it will also be available with a 1.5 l MPi Petrol engine that comes with 6-speed Manual Transmission (6MT) and Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). The Verna will also come with the latest in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and other features that make it stand out from the competition.

The 1.5 l Turbo GDi Petrol engine in the all-new Hyundai Verna is geared to churn out maximum power and torque performance. It will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission, making it the perfect car for those who love a sporty and thrilling driving experience. Additionally, the 1.5 l MPi Petrol engine that comes with 6-speed Manual Transmission and Intelligent Variable Transmission is also available for those who prefer a more conventional driving experience.

The new Verna has a dimension of 4535mm long, 1765mm wide and 1475mm tall, making it a mid-sized sedan that is perfect for Indian roads. The wheelbase is at 2670mm, making it stable on the roads. Additionally, the Verna offers a boot space of 528 liters, which is the best in the segment, making it ideal for long journeys and carrying luggage.

One of the standout features of the all-new Hyundai Verna is its ADAS – Advanced Driver Assistance System. This offers safety features such as lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, front collision warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, etc. These features make driving safer and more comfortable, ensuring that the driver and passengers are protected at all times. Additionally, the new Verna will also have four airbags as standard on the base trims, while top-spec models will get six airbags. Other safety features include TPMS, front parking sensors, ESP, and traction control.

The all-new Hyundai Verna will also sport a new infotainment system with a larger touchscreen and BlueLink connected car technology. It will also have a new digital instrument cluster that will offer the driver all the necessary information they need while driving. This makes the Verna a technologically advanced car that offers comfort, convenience, and safety all in one package.

The Verna is positioned as a petrol-only model, with the base EX and S trims drawing power via a 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 115 hp power and 144 Nm torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or an IVT gearbox. The SX and SX(O) trims will get a 1.5 liter turbo petrol unit that makes 160hp power and 253 Nm torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. Both these engines comply with new RDE and E20 norms, making them environmentally friendly.

The all-new Hyundai Verna is expected to be priced higher by around Rs 60,000-1 lakh over its current counterpart. One can expect it to be priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 19.00 lakh (ex-showroom).
