This South Korean carmaker had Creta as its top choice even as sales overall dropped 24 percent YoY
The current shortage of semi-conductor has hindered growth in the auto industry. Nearly every major automobile maker located in India with the one exception, Tata as well as Mahindra has reported an annual decline in growth as production is slowing and waiting times can be lengthy, with a range of 6-9 months.

Hyundai Creta was best-selling car in the lineup of Hyundai despite a decrease by 14 percent. Sales that were 12,017 units in November of 2020 decreased to 10,300 units during the month that followed. MoM the growth in sales was positive, with a 60 percent increase over the 6,455 units sold during October of 2021.
At No. 2 on the lineup of Hyundai was the Hyundai the i10 Grand NIOS. Sales fell 50 % YoY, and 10% MoM at 5,466 units. Then came the i20 premium hatchback, which saw an increase of 52 percent YoY to 4,391 units, a decrease from the 9,096 sold during November 2020. MoM sales were down one percent over the 4,414 units sold in the month of October in 2021.
Hyundai Venue and Xcent At No. 4 and 5, were Hyundai Venue as well as Xcent both of which reported decline in YoY. Venue sales dropped by 14 per cent to 7,932 units. This is less than 9,265 units in November 2020.
MoM numbers were down by 25 percent from the 10,554 units that were sold in the month of October 2021. The sales of the Xcent/Aura sedan dropped 16.6% to 2,562 in November of 2021, down from 3,063 units that were sold in the same month in last year. MoM sales dropped 5 percent over the 2,701 units sold in the month of October 2021.
Hyundai’s 3-row vehicle Alcazar also has been affected due to the ongoing economic crisis. The sales total was 2,453 units during the previous month. It was a 76 per cent MoM increase over the 1,392 units that were sold in the month of October 2021.
